GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM® Method for Seniors and/or Special Needs
I’m not fond of the word “senior” as it is generally used for people over a certain age. I prefer “experienced” or “seasoned.” However, if your experienced or seasoned body is feeling a bit senior, or more than a bit senior, maybe a little too well-used or overworked, then GYROTONIC® method is for you. If you’re feeling great and want to stay that way, GYROTONIC® method is for you.
The pulley tower and handle unit is fully adjustable to work with all different range of motion needs. A client in their 70’s, 80’s or 90’s can safely and gently open and stretch their muscles and joints. The low impact motions make it gentle enough for clients with health limitations like scoliosis, osteoporosis or other pain, especially back pain. If you’re carrying a bit more weight than you’d like, but need to move, the machine can support you. One client with MS happily said that the GYROTONIC® tower gave her confidence to move more than she had done for years. The spinal decompression work can help maintain height, and encourage blood flow and motion through the physical stagnation of a widow’s hump.
The support of the machine encourages you to expand your expectation of what you can do and backs it up by facilitating underused and/or forgotten pathways of movement without stressing your body unnecessarily.
